Mock Trial

Developed by the Constitutional Rights Foundation (, the Mock Trial Program helps students acquire knowledge of our judicial system, develop analytic skills, and gain an understanding of their obligations and responsibilities as participating members of our society.  The Program further provides students with an excellent opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking and communication skills.  Students also learn the benefits of working with a small team of their classmates in preparing their case for a mock trial in the downtown Los Angeles Superior Court in mid-late November.

Our volunteer attorney coaches bring decades of civil and criminal trial experience to the Program that guides our kids to victory year after year!

In 2011, our Lead Attorney Coach, Dennis Franks, was named
“Attorney Coach of the Year”

Read all about it here!

The real benefits of the Program are that the kids – year in and year out – have fun learning the law and building their confidence by developing their ability to present to an audience and respond to questions on their feet.
