A product of a rigorous Catholic education that spurred her life-long love of learning, Mrs. Alice Ling graduated from Barat College of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, Illinois, with a double major in Education and Psychology. She received her teaching credential in Illinois and her first teaching assignment was in the Chicago public school system. From there, she taught and honed her craft by teaching in several states until she moved west and settled in the Los Angeles area where she raised her three talented and beautiful children.

For more than 30 years, Mrs. Ling has been an educator and has taught the 4th grade at St. Cyril since 1988. Currently, she is the testing coordinator at the school and in addition, spends her after school hours tutoring students 5th grade through junior high in math, English, literature, and social studies. Her philosophy is to instill in her students a thirst for knowledge and equip them with the tools necessary to become productive and compassionate human beings while helping them maximize their potential as God’s children.
