When the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet founded St. Cyril School in 1950, they began with a mission to provide an affordable Catholic education to the children of St. Cyril Parish and the surrounding community.  Times may have changed, but our mission continues. St.Cyril School is a learning community founded on the principles of academic excellence, service to community, and love of God and neighbor.  From Pre-K through the Eighth Grade we strive to help our students develop their gifts and talents to the fullest potential.  Our graduates are nearly all accepted into the private high schools of their choice.  Recently our alumnus have been the valedictorians at Louisville, Notre Dame, Crespi, and Marymount high schools.  One of our recent graduates also had a perfect score on the SAT.

Our faculty and staff set us apart from other schools in the area.  The combined teaching experience of our homeroom teachers surpasses two centuries! While our staff has a great deal of experience, they remain current with the latest trends in education.   We currently have smartboards in every classroom, and a wireless network that allows our teachers and students to log in anywhere on campus.

Community building is an integral part of the St. Cyril experience.  From our annual family dinner dance, to the family Masses, and our Earth festival in the spring, getting together outside of the classroom is all about fun.  Parents assist the school in many ways.  We have an award winning school board and a parent volunteer committee which organizes fundraising and community building events throughout the year.  Students perform better when their parents get involved.
