Take a look at the school calendar and you can see that there are numerous fundraising and fun-raising events scheduled over the course of our school year. 

We start with a great wine and cheese reception for the new parents.  On the first day of school, there is a welcome back breakfast reception for all parents.  In September, there is the wonderful faculty appreciation luncheon.  And then there is the Halloween Carnival, the Auction Dinner Dance, the Winter Wonderland luncheon, Italian Family Dinner Dance, the Jog-a-thon, EarthFest, the Family Picnic, and many more.

The driving force behind all of these events is the St. Cyril’s Parent Volunteer Committee, or PVC.   PVC  is you and me and every parent in the school who takes time from a busy schedule to make a difference in their child’s school experience.   

Yes, one of the primary focuses is fundraising.  The money raised goes directly to improving the quality of our children’s education, and also helps us keep tuition low.   Parents who begin their involvement only because they are obligated to do so invariably end up becoming more involved because it is fun and rewarding. 

Take a moment and find out more about PVC’s different events, contact your room mom or the person in charge or contact any member of the PVC board and get involved.  You will be glad you did.
