Students have a chance to be a part of an award winning Academic Junior High Decathlon team competing in ten events. Two events are collaborative team efforts and eight others test individual knowledge in the areas of English, Literature, Science, Mathematics, Current Events, Social Studies, Roman Catholic doctrine and Fine Arts. Awards are given for individual and team performance, and the winning school team from each geographic diocese competes in a state championship.
The event is held in March of each year at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. In 2007, our Decathlon team ranked 9th out of the 108 schools participating!
